Happiness Despite Fear

Music is my Medication

…Yes, you just read it perfectly right. Not only meditation, but medication. I don’t know were I’ve been today if it wasn’t for music. I can not even imagine a world without music. When I look back I think this is one of the tools that have saved me, multiple times over. The perfect therapy response. And I know I share this experience with millions, whether it’s preforming it or just enjoy listening to it, whether it is Mozart
or if it’s Heavy Metal.

As we all know, music can be incuraging, rebellious, sentimental or any emotion you need to channel at the moment, because our sense of musicality is close to our emotional centre in the brain. So this is just flat logical emotional science. We are reacting emotional beings, this is our nature. I don’t believe that music increases emotions, it rather responds to the mood or state that is already in there. So in a sense it works like homeopathics. That’s why I would guess this is such a healing, for so many.

I have a serious passion for traditional Folk and World Music, and once in a while also some Jazz Good Oldies, while others maybe rather would prefer Country or R&B and  Rap/Hip-Hop

At times when you’re Feeling Blue maybe even Sound of Music - the musical of all musicals, will be too much for you. Some like Alternative, some like Main or even Hits. Most partyanimals warm up with Pop and Dance Music. You don’t have to be a cineast to want to recall your Favorite Movie. Sometimes you just want tunes that helps you to Relax after a hectic day, but such sounds can be quite annoying when you are bored and looking for something that can boost your Action back on track. Have I left any categories behind for you? Yes, Gospels and Spirituals can be great listening to as well, even if you’re not concidering yourself a pure Christian. Oh, and the most important of them all - our Children. How can we ever forget about them?

This is the perfect gift or present for any music lover, for any holiday or day at all for that matter. There is something for everyone, depending on your mood, and it’s all harmless. Goodbye shrink, hello music! I can not refer a better way to get through than this. Music saves. Turn coins and move mountains. From the cottonfield to today, a shout for cry or joy. Some cynicals may say that music is just one way to escape reality. But anything can be used and abused for that purpose, any drug.

I prescribe an aware use of music. Turn the random radio off if you are tired, unless you’re not so tired you have to use it to stay awake when you drive a car or something! Three favorite songs a day, keeps the doctor away. Go with the flow of your own taste, because it strengthens you. It releases stress and increase learning. At least so they say. It will surely get you back in the mood again.
